El dizi es una flauta transversal tradicional china fabricada con caña de bambú. También puede conocerse con otros nombres como di o Hengda, y existen variantes como el qudi y el Bangda. El instrumento tiene tres casillas centrales justo debajo del encabezado del texto. Cada una de estas casillas permite seleccionar y cargar una articulación específica. The dizi is a traditional Chinese transverse flute made from bamboo cane. It can also be known by other names such as di or Hengda, and there are variants such as qudi and Bangda. The way these names are written and pronounced may vary depending on the transliteration system used to convert the Chinese characters. However, in the West, the most commonly used term to refer to this flute is “dizi.”
The instrument has three central boxes just below the text heading. Each of these boxes allows you to select and load a specific joint. Since there are three slots available, it is possible to load up to three different joints into a preset “slot.” The sensitivity threshold, located between the three articulation boxes, controls the transition between these boxes. For example, if “Vertical Mode” is set to “Speed” and the key press is in the range of 0-80 (as shown in the image), the bottom box will be activated. In the range of 81-109 the middle box will be activated, and in the range of 110-127 the top box will be activated. This setting allows you to control the playback of the articulations in a way that is sensitive to the speed and pressure when playing the instrument.
